I like to think of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol as a village, inhabited by millions of people for not more then a few hours per day max. But who are the people that pass through? What makes them tick? I’m on a quest to meet the Citizens of the Airport!

I was afraid she might stay

We’re here to pick up Sas. She’s on her way back after living in Canada for a while. Sas is like my little sister and I’m like a cuddly aunt. We’re hand in glove, even though she’s ten years younger than me. I found it hard when she decided to move to Vancouver 18 months ago to do a drama course. Now she’s an actor and looking for work.”

“I was afraid for a while that she might stay in Canada, because she’d met a man. But that relationship is over now. Not nice for her, but I have to admit I was relieved. She might stay here now.”
