Jacqueline Vollebregt

When I was a child, my mother used to tell me: “You can be anything you want to be”. When she was growing up, girls were made to study home economics, but she wanted to give me a different start in life. And she succeeded. I became exactly what I wanted to be – a pilot – and I’ve been enjoying flying KLM aircraft around the world for 27 years now. After spending a few years volunteering to help people get over their fear of flying, I found out that the average passenger has a lot of questions and even some misconceptions about my profession. So I’d like to take you into a world that’s very familiar to me, but hidden from outsiders behind that hermetically sealed cockpit door.
