Thijs Jongsma

I started working at KLM in 1992 as Second Officer on the Boeing 747-400. After serving on the Fokker 100, Boeing 747-400, and Boeing 737, I became a pilot on the de A330. For the last four years I have also worked as a Check Pilot Operations, a quality controller collecting checks from the pilots and solving hitches in the operations.

I live in the province of Friesland. I am the father of two children, age 19 and 16. When I’m not flying, you can find me on the water much of the time, in our boat.
